The PK XD Pets System was released in March 2020 as an MVP (Minimum Viable Product) and has been improved over time.

I was involved in this system from the beginning, helping to define some important steps, working as a concept artist, always prioritizing the system's long-term scalability. Here, I present some pet concept art processes.

FIRST PETS:
DOG, CAT AND PIG
In the beginning, the pets didn’t have evolution, and we decided to start the system with a category of quadruped pets. Our goal was to maintain the same body shape for all quadruped pets created from then on. This way, we could reuse the animations and interactions between players and pets.

 LEGENDARY PETS
We developed premium pets too, which had a lower drop rate in the prize draw available when the player bought a pet pod (a kind of egg, but more technology, such as a mini robot). The pets released at that time were Unicorn, Fire Fox, and Black Panther.

Note: Although the Pink Lion was also developed at this stage, it was released later.

NEW CATEGORY STUDY:
FLYING PETS
After two years since the first release of pets in the game, we improved the system with some modifications and new content. Basic shape studies were created to serve as a guide for the development of a new category of pets, and after that, we decided on flying pets and created their final designs.

I was able to create some concept animations and behavioral studies for these new pets.
